Dormant Detection
ArborBuddy scans your completed job history to flag clients who have gone quiet. Each detection includes a reason (the detector that fired), a confidence score, and a dormant value estimate — how much revenue you’ve left on the table since they last booked.
The three detectors

| No Contact | No completed job in 12+ months. Your biggest pool of recoverable clients. |
| Price Erosion | Client whose average job value has dropped 30%+ vs their history. Often means they downsized scope or found a competitor for the bigger work. |
| Seasonal Lapse | A previously annual or biannual client who missed their usual season. Stronger signal for spring-only or storm-season clients. |
Detectors run as pure SQL functions — no AI costs, no API calls. They fire on every CSV import or manually via Re-run Detection on the Recovery dashboard.
Dormant value
Section titled “Dormant value”Each detection shows an estimated dormant value — the sum of estimated hours since last service × $150/hr. This is a proxy (your actual margins may differ), but it gives a quick sense of who’s worth calling first.
Values are stacked into a total recoverable revenue banner at the top of the dashboard. With a free scan, you see the total but not the individual rows.
Confidence scoring

|---|---|
| High (80%+) | Clear signal — long gap, price drop, or clear seasonal miss |
| Medium (50–79%) | Probable — some signal but data is sparse or borderline |
| Low (<50%) | Possible — weak signal, may be a false positive |
Low-confidence detections are still surfaced with a warning badge. Dismiss any detection you disagree with — it stays hidden unless you re-run detection.
