Outreach & SMS Drafts

Once a client is flagged as dormant, ArborBuddy generates outreach text — a short, personal message you can send to re-engage them. How you send depends on your plan.

Copy SMS draft (Crew+)

Crew, Autopilot, and Canopy subscribers can copy the AI-generated outreach text with one tap:

1. Open the Recovery dashboard.
2. Tap Copy Text or Copy SMS Draft on any flagged client.
3. Paste into your own SMS app — the text includes their name, your company, and a friendly re-engagement hook.

The text is generated from the client’s last job date, service history, and the detector reason. It is unique per client.

Looks like it came from you, because it did.

SMS is copy-to-send only. ArborBuddy does not auto-send SMS messages — carriers require A2P 10DLC registration for automated SMS, which is not part of this product. A text from the owner’s real number converts better anyway.

Automated email (roadmap)

Email sequences can fire automatically — CAN-SPAM compliant, no carrier gating, and ArborBuddy controls the sending domain. This is on the roadmap.

How outreach text is generated

ArborBuddy uses the client’s job history and the specific detector to craft the message:

• No contact: “Hey [name], it’s been a while since we last worked on your trees. Want us to come take a look this spring?”
• Price erosion: “Hey [name], we noticed your recent jobs have been smaller than usual. Have your needs changed, or can we help with a bigger project?”
• Seasonal lapse: “Hey [name], we usually see you around this time of year. Need us to stop by?”

Text is generated on-demand and served from the outreach-generate edge function.
